මොකද්ද මේ සංස්කෘතිය කියන්නෙ? (What is culture?)

කෙටියෙන් පැවසූ කල, සංස්කෘතිය යනු මිනිසාගේ ආශාවන් ලේසියෙන් හා පහසුවෙන් ඉටුකර ගැනීමට සහ සමාජයේ යම් යම් ගැටලු නිරාකරණය කරගැනීම සඳහා සකසාගත් සිරිත් විරිත් පද්ධතියකි. මෙය හුදෙක් නීති මාලාවක් නොව මිනිසා විසින් සිදු කෙරෙන යම් ක්‍රියා මාලාවකි. මෙය යම් කෙනෙක් කඩ කරන්නේද ඔහු හෝ ඇය සමාජයේ හාස්‍යයට බඳුන් වේ. ලෝකයේ එක් එක් දේශයන් හා ප්‍රදේශයන් වල සංස්කෘතීන් එකිනෙක වෙනස් ය. මෙම වෙනස් වීමට බලපාන කරුණු 2ක් ඇත. එනම් කාලය හා අවකාශයයි.
(In less words, culture stands for a system made by human in order to fulfill their needs simply and solve the  social problems. Culture is not laws but actions done by human. If someone is not following it, it will become a strange to the society. Culture is different in different places around the world. There are 2 things which affects for the change of culture. They are time and space. )

1. කාලය (Time)
විශ්වයේ එක්තරා ස්ථානයක් ගත් කල, කාලයට සාපේක්ෂව එම ස්ථානයෙහි වසන සභ්‍යත්ව වාර්ගිකයන්ගේ සංස්කෘතිය වෙනස්වීමකට භාජනය වේ. එයට දේශගුණික විපර්යාස, තාක්ෂණයේ මහිමය, සමාජ විපර්යාස, දේශපාලනික විපර්යාස, වෙනත් සභ්‍යත්ව වාර්ගිකයින්ගේ සම්මිශ්‍රණයන් වැනි දේවල් බලපායි.
(A culture of a society at a one place in the universe, is changing through the time. It is affected by climate changes, technological development, society changes, political changes, mixing with aliens, etc.)

2. අවකාශය (Space)
එකම කාලයක් ගත් කල, විශ්වයේ එක් එක් සභ්‍යත්ව වාර්ගිකයන්ගේ සංස්කෘතීන් ස්ථානය අනුව වෙනස් වේ. ග්‍රහලෝක දෙකක් ගත් කල එහි ජීවීන්ගේ සංස්කෘතීන් හාත්පසින්ම වෙනස්ය. එකම ග්‍රහලොව තුළද ප්‍රදේශයෙන් ප්‍රදේශයට සංස්කෘතීන් වෙනස්ය. මේ සඳහාද ඉහත කී විපර්යාස බලපායි.
(A culture is changing place to place in the universe, in one time. As an example: There is a very big difference between two cultures in two planets. Even in one planet, culture is different place to place. It is also affected by above mentioned things. )

අපි සංස්කෘතිය ගැන තවදුරටත් ඉදිරියේදී සාකච්ඡා කරමු. (We will talk more about culture later.)
